1. Sedans are stupid and I’m glad they’re dying.

a. don’t bother sending me pics of how much you got in your sedan with the seats folded, I want space for things AND people.

b. No crossovers aren’t the replacement I was hoping for either, but at least they are slowly turning back into hatches and wagons.

2. My !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! wins.

Its a code and its literally stamped into my chassis.

3. Do you think it was time for new brake pads? me too.

For some reason the DS front is doing more work than the DS left. hmmm, going have to look into that.

its not even that much stuff. It’s literally the lightest camera setup I run with. Its not a small sedan either, its an Azera.

I have yet to own a sedan. It’s all been convertibles, coupes, hatches, wagons, SUVS, and pickups for me. I guess I missed out on minivans, too. The Cougar trunk is huge, though.

Mr or Mrs.HammerheadFistpunch... may I recommend you acquire a lift back or a wagon?

I do appreciate your concern with the storage capacity of sedans, afteral, as the owner of an SUV I am myself addicted to carrying copious amounts of crap around. I can honestly tell you that a wagon will solve issue of volume, and a lift back will solve issues of hatch clearance. But please do not, for the love of god, buy an SUV. We have terrible mileage, make the streets more clogged and unsafe, and we’re overall unpleasant, specially if you live in an urban centre.

Two box designs (or even 1 box) can do everything. The three-box sedan thing is pure insanity. A fun mental exercise is to look at every SUV and Crossover you see, then chop the back off and give it a trunk like a sedan.

Every one of them would be among the fugliest cars on the road. It’s inherently a bad idea.

This conversation is near and dear to my heart. Some of the leaders of my company are going to Switzerland to a conference soon, big time stuff I guess, and they need video while they are there, they want to interview important leaders in this space. So I get a call and its about this trip and im thinking “woo hoo! Davos here I come!”

So hhfp, what camera can you suggest we take that will get professional video and audio results, fit in my pocket and be easy to use so I (an useless manager) can do your job? We don’t mind buying something but nothing over say...$300?

The Land Cruiser (on the right) is an 80 series. (FZJ80)

The GX470 (left) is the lexus. Its also known as a Prado 120 but with a V8

The GX470 is mostly a family driver, but it tows the camp trailer so much better than the 80 series that it gets a little trail work from time to time.

Those plastic or metal bars the trunk opens with are stupid. It should have elegant hinges and gas struts that do not intrude into the trunk space.

Horses for courses. Sedans are better for noise because you get another barrier between you and the noisy bits out back and the interior echo chamber is smaller, and they’re better for torsional stiffness because of the extra structure (even with foldable seats) and smaller aperture.

So for luxobarges and sports cars, sure, 3 box is great. For all other purposes, can’t go past a 2 box. Single box is stupid: you can pry my crumple zone out of my cold dead hands (or vice versa).
